Catholic Research Forum

mission

The Catholic Research Forum's purpose is to share the results of applied empirical research about the Catholic Church with people who can use the research fruitfully in their ministries. The Forum dialogs regularly with the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, individual bishops, canon lawyers, pastoral planners, and others who are in leadership positions in dioceses or parishes.

The Forum also promotes good research practices through the development of simple, but sound methodology. It reviews the methodology with colleagues in the Religious Research Association and shares the methodology with pastoral planners in the CPPCD.

The Conference for Pastoral Planning & Council Development is a professional membership association that promotes and advocates consultative processes that foster effective planning for the pastoral life of the Church.
